Tidy Craft Room Tidy Mind!
I've reorganised the craft room! although my son and hubby are relieved my passion and debris are not spreading around the house they often remind me this room was not supposed to be mine...so i thank them once again for their patience and tolerance...it looks great, all organised with a great surface at the right height to work on... and apart from a dubious 'floating'shelf that may come away from the wall and succumb to the laws of gravity shortly (we never have luck with mounting shelves not cut out for DIY only cut out for crafting)is really practical....and Julia my noticeboard is up at long last! Time to get ready for my constitutional run with K back to the craft room later..
A scrumptious celebration album
My most recent project i've a had a little extra time to spend on.I will be posting it out on Monday. With a little more time the detail you can add to an album is endless, however, it now feels just right. It floral fantasy in scrumptious pastel and sherbet pastel colours...the last of my Basic Grey gypsy Romani collection with a little bit of Lily Kate... I must find some more of this gorgeous paper! a photo is coming once i've posted and know the album has been given to it's recipient. These 8 x 8 celebration albums are a sheer pleasure to create and all individually created with someone special in mind.I've bound this one differently by adding an additional 1 inch and using metal posts as in the large Prom album.
large album
Recently i created a large prom album for a lady who'd purchased a small album from me.She gave me a challenge of creating something on a budget a lot larger (10 x 12)than i usually do.. here are some snaps of this album before the photographs were mounted. Thankyou Adele I loved creating this for you.

Edinburgh Festival
This weekend we had our annual short break to enjoy the Edinburgh Fringe and Festival. It was great!Rather than creating a few scrapbooking pages in my album I've brought back flyers and mags to create an album for scrapbooking thoughts and reflections on our experiences. There'll be room to revisit these every year in this album Chella loves his comedy and we were well and truly comedied out infact i sought a little sanctuary in a few art galleries as my brain was buzzing. I hope to post the album later on this month.
I'm off for a whole week and have some albums that i'm looking forward to creating for others...so i'm immersing myself in crafting having heaven for the next few days(although have to fit in some home DIY and decorating in between trips to heaven!)

Creative hours
There are often just not enough hours in the day to be as creative as i'd like to be...which to me is probably the real sign that to work part time sometime very soon and focus more on my passion and what i really love to do has to happen. Now i've written this i'm committed to this decision it's just the plans around doing it that have to come...and completing this card at 2 a.m in the morning reminds me that my creative mind comes first and just will not sleep until listened to and acted upon..

Love my little Sweet Pea!
The thing i love about crafting is the opportunity to create freely using as much imaginiation as humanly possible! in the hustle bustle of adult working life that creativity can be hidden away but here i am following my dreams of a more creative path. I could natter and ramble on ! Here at last are the fruits of my Sweet Pea ideas.....i've wanted to create with this since he beginning of the year and it is the sort of project that will grow and grow and grow...I plan to make range of baby keepsaking items with Sweet Pea in mind i've create a few items to get me going and will see where this goes.

Prom is nearing

Prom.....i didn't have a prom it wasn't a thing we did back then....oooh wouldn't it have been great though ..although Queen Anne grammar school for girls may have had to widen the invite list to make it an interesting event i think! So i love this idea of a Prom and I love that my son is going to wear a Tuxedo! he has his hair corn rowed today and my camera is on standby.Of course as with most events in my life a little creativity is called for and i've created some envelope Prom keepsakes a masculine version for Melu to store some snaps in, but i couldn't resist creating some girlie ones.

warm weekend wishes..
The end of a tiring week...and how wonderful it is to simply sit here look out at the sun trying to peek through the clouds...its warm... my garden is covered in gorgeous fox gloves and the clemetis is about to flower...it is summer. So before i scoot off for my constitutional run with K i'm sending warm weekend wishes to the world!
Chel is so good at caring for the garden at this time of the year.He returned form a footy tournament last week only to man the mower maitain the garden! Some TLC in the garden might be a good idea however we have stumbled across some 'wildlife' over the past few warm weekends and if it were perhaps less wild they may not feel at home!.We had a cheeky little hedghog one night who wanted to join us for a BBQ and a frog that seemed stuck in the railway sleeper and posed for me as i took his photo..he escaped later never to be seen again... i felt 5 years old again as i excitedly grabbed my camera to take the photo's...that childhood fascination comes rushing back no matter how old you get.

Fathers day creativity

I created some different little albums last week whilst feeling very reflective about my own father and i've saved one of them especially to pop some of my memories in.I also dicovered a really great little idea...a coupon book for dad it's a novel way of giving your time to dad on fathers day....please feel free to leave comments or ideas about how you might use it.

Hello kitty

I've been creating some lovely little hello kitty die cuts and indulging my 'little girl' all us girls have one inside that never quite gets enough attention!.I've created these 3 little albums to inspire my plans for larger albums with keepsaking children's early years in mind (i've to work on some different themes for little boys). The paper bags are the 4.5 x 4.5 inch ones simular to those in the previous posting, again only 3 were used. Here i've used some hand embossing to decorate the pages and little pannels with glitter accents and ensured the colour of the bags borders most of the pages.

here are some photos detailing the techniques and ideas for some of the pages.
