THe PaPerBag aLbUm

For my New Years Project I'm going to create a new look paper bag album inspired by Kathy Krieger...I've created two templates in slightly different sizes two sizes from demonstrations she did in 2011.Kathy is avaialable on U STREaM, YouTUbe, and her blog is here....she's pretty amazing and her albums and the way she uses a lot of the paper ranges really inspiring.Of particular interest to me is the different ways to bind paper bag albums and binding in general of journals,books and albums.So I'm hoping to focus on this a little as I create my first few albums of the year. Binding with Kathy Krieger.Photographs of the completed albums will eventually go on my Magical Memory Albums blogspot.

A New Year and a new creative adventure

2013 is nearly here and creating my albums will be as important as ever to me.They are the way I celebrate life and pass on this joy on to others.To celebrate the new year and to refocus my creativity I will be posting the ideas and inspiration on this blogspot. I started this project some time ago and now have completed the albums! yay loved getting lost in creating and then altering these albums...I started with the basic templates and then had a 'fest' of a few days dabbling with all sorts of Alice in Wonderland paper memorabilia inks, stamps oooh it was delightful...i'd imagined more than 6 impossible things before breakfast...x

Fairie 'Maeve

Inspired by the seasons changing I turned my creative energy toward polymer sculpting and Fairie Maeve was born..... She is a delightful Fairie Queen celebrating Mabon/Autumn Equinox .I haven't sculpted for a year or so the last sculpt being an 'Imbolc Water Sylph' created last year...so this was a wonderful way of harnessing the energy of this new seasons change. I hope to pass her on as the energy she was made in is made for sharing. Happy Mabon and Autumn Equinox to all.

I have had a flurry of inspiration after creating a lovely little album for Monica...I will post photo's of her little album later but I sooo want her to  receive and savour before I share it here.These three albums where the fruits of my inspiration this week ....its a special week for me with birthday, anniversary, son going to university and I was also pondering the forthcoming cooler darker months whilst savouring the 'Indian summer we are having (how i need encouragement to get through those months...one of the album start with my favourite quotes about keeping a 'little bit of summer' for those months ...)these sentiment themed albums came from my 'ponderings' they were lovely to create and would be even nicer to share with someone so again i've listed them as an offering to just that with wishes that they to bring opportunity to savour joy and encourage 'cherishment' of dreams and move through change.

Childhood Memory albums...

The last selection of 'childhood memory albums'........It's the time of year when children are getting their school uniforms ready...to return to school and  preschoolers are preparing for their first taste of reception class ...I rememberer it sooo well as if it were yesterday (although i have to admit i cannot remember what i did yesterday but i can remember those 'back to school days with my son'...call it old age!)...collecting memories from the school holidays and scrap booking them for my son was a great part of the 'breathing space and reflection before diving into a new school year...creating little albums to celebrate achievement and friendships and him just being him also a big part of motiviating him and working through change ...if you were to scroll through this blogspot you would find some..from years ago... Time goes so quickly for us adults as parents and children grow up and move through so many experiences....I'd love to give a few of these to all parents just to offer folks an opportunity to share in the joy keepsaking brings xxx

p.s. I did it this year as well with some photo's and am preparing an 'energetic montage' as a keepsake i'll post it sooon!...

Spring Fling

Am hoping to move on some more cute albums.........I create these little luvlies to my hearts desire and will not be participating in any craft fares this year so they will all be going up for auction........here are the first few..hope they bring someone as much joy as i've had creating them.......I am giving away embellishments (i have such a stash and they need to be shared! ) and hand stamped journalling prompts with the albums to inspire their use...The 'All About Me Albums have been so popular for children...I've made them for some time and although they are all different they all encourage self affirmation and a real celebration of 'me'ness' ...so nice to think someone will be making use of these albums ..I've added the alice in wonderland one of a kind album and two of the seashore mermaid themed ones to the slideshow.

Oh golly purchased a vagabond machine ...one of my investment purchases i cannot wait to use it and have a few days off so wll be playing and creating over the next week or so...lurve it x

Spring has sprung

I have been finishing some sweet wee albums i just needed to make to celebrate spring...I loved making them as it gave me an opportunity to play with my Hello Kitty dies and i spent days cutting and making their little costumes...my busy fingers enjoyed every minute of it and now I soo want to pass them onto someone so am auctioning them off on ebay and hope they find a home to pass the spring joy on......spring is here!

3 scrummy shabby chic albums

Have just finished these gorgeous wee books that i've had on the go since new year...I will post the inner pages soon...I used some mixed media techniques and some Prima papers called Pixie Glen ...I soo loved using my fairie stamps and I think they are cutely unique.
